Gabriele Seethaler
In the year 1994 Gabriele Seethaler began to visit photography classes like at the International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg with Prof. Katharina Sieverding. In her new series FEMMES IMMORTELLES, the photographer Gabriele Seethaler traces the multiple thinking of great european female personalities and focuses with her work on significant historical represantatives from history, philosophy, politics, science and art, etc. The artist merges the photographic recordings of monuments with digital manipulations and multiple exposures, together with historic photographs into new collages. They get displayed as spectacular large-size Diasec that fortifies the immortality of the female protagonists.
